We’re introducing revenue management to give sponsored organizations more visibility into their funds, make accounting simpler for sponsors, and bring the work of allocating and moving money into ImpactGraph.

For a sponsored organization, a grant payment can mean being ready to pay a contractor or cover the next month of program costs. Its executive director needs to know whether the payment has arrived and how much is available after the sponsor fee.

Answering that question often falls to the fiscal sponsorship team. You review the bank feed, sign into the bank, check your accounting system, and send an email. If the organization needs a transfer, there’s a form to collect. Then another organization asks about its grant, and you work through the same checks again.

Give your organizations a clear view of their funds

As soon as you allocate an incoming payment to an organization and fund, the organization can see the funding in its ImpactGraph view, with the sponsor fee reflected in its fund balance. It can check whether the payment has arrived and how much remains after fees, without waiting for your team to look up the answer and send an email.

That visibility helps the people running the organization plan their next vendor payment, transfer request, or program expense. Your team and the organization can work from the same funding information.

Keep your accounting system current with less manual work

Start by uploading the grant agreement. ImpactGraph prepares the funding source from the document, keeping the funder, amount, and payment schedule together. The funding source’s invoice syncs natively to QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.

When the payment arrives, select the incoming transaction and assign it to the sponsored organization and fund. ImpactGraph syncs the payment entry back to your accounting system. Your team can maintain the invoice and payment records through the funding workflow it already manages in ImpactGraph.

The receipt keeps its organization and fund allocation for your bookkeeping. Sponsor fees are accounted for, transfers reduce the amount owed to the organization, and expenses reduce the relevant fund balance.

Do the work in ImpactGraph, with fewer tools

Review incoming transactions, allocate funds, and initiate transfers in ImpactGraph. Your accounting system stays connected while your team handles the day-to-day funding workflow in one place.

When it’s time to disburse, initiate the transfer from your connected bank to the organization’s ImpactGraph Wallet. You can send the funds from ImpactGraph without logging into your bank to make the transfer.

The organization can then use its Wallet to pay vendor bills. Bills follow your existing approval process and scheduled payment dates, so your team can review the expense and manage the payment in the same place.

For recurring funding needs, sweeps replenish Wallet balances on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Set a target balance and the source of funds. Sweeps can replenish your sponsor Wallet from a connected bank and fund organization Wallets from your sponsor Wallet, using available funds in the source account.
